Because they can. There all whole sites devoted to toy cameras, not to
mention Lomography and the frightening cost of a decent Diana these
days. i once participated in an activity where a photo chat list sent a
Fuji disposable around the world, each member taking one shot. There
were pro photogs on that list and I was astonished by just how good
some of the images were. The perspective of my shot seemed to be around
24-28mm with great depth of field and quite sharp too.
Of course, it's much more sensible to spend years slaving in an office
to raise enough disposable income to purchase horribly expensive
cameras! :-)
