Unfortunately, and as expected I think, the validation is that your
OM-2s is slightly ill. I tested both of my 2s's firing an Alien Bees
B800 in manual mode at 1/60th second from the X-sync socket. Both
cameras sync just fine whether the connection is via wire or via radio
slave signal.
I was going to test the hotshoe connection as well but discovered that
my radio transmitter hotshoe connection isn't working for some reason. I
also discovered that I have no means of connecting a PC cable to the
hotshoe. Thought I had such an adapter but it's nowhere to be found.
So, I've only proved that my radio slave transmitter is somewhat ill
just as is your camera. But, I also proved that the Stylus Epic and the
XA are both working just fine and are ready for the trip to Wally World.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings (unless you happen to be John or
Clint) :-)
