I find the French ones particularly effective. Human shapes (in black)
where there have been fatalities. Female for female, Male for male, child
for child.
You can 'read' the accidents from where the shapes are. Long straights are
'popular', fairly innocuous bends also. Some stretches would benefit from
a telephoto shot, because you could compress the shapes into a solid wall,
there are so many.
Humans don't learn from experience, QED.
