Thanks for you're reactions.
It seems that the vote is still out on the e1 and the e300.
Or is this just me?
William,
Since I work for a certain (self proclaimed) imaging company I travel a lot
in the Netherlands.
So I might take you up on you're offer.
Maarten

Hello Maarten,
Welcome back on the list. Nice to see another Dutchman here! ;-)
The E-1/300 adapter is tempting and functions alright. However, since I
started using my E-1 a bit more than a month ago I haven't touched the
OM's. When mounting a zuiko on the E-1 and adapter I miss the AF (did I
really say that?) and the auto stop-down of the aperture. I think Olympus
could have made ana effort to make an adapter that would transpond the
aperture setting (from mech to electrical) and auto stop down of the
aperture (from electrical to mechanic). I am quite sure Mr. Maitani would
have found out a way to make it. I am not even sure it would be too
difficukt or costly to produce. The currect adapter is just plain and
simple to be compared to a non-auto macro tube with two different bayonets.
I allready contacted you off-list also to find out if you live close to me,
so You can check out the E-1 for yourself.
Kind regards,
Wiliam
Middelburg, NL.
