I have a couple of zuiko 50mm f1.8 lenses.
Not worth much so I'm having a play.
One has a flake of glass off the edge of one of the lenses deep inside and it
has a sticky iris.
The other is in great shape appart from the preview button does not push the
iris closed properly.
The problem is a 'C' shaped lever inside is bent.
I can take the one from my duff lens and replace it.
My question is:
When people say theat a lens is oil free are they just refering to the iris
area?
My good lens has light oil around the flat disc like levers at the back of the
lens but none further in, just white grease on the scrolls at the side.
Should I remove the oil from the disc like levers before I reasemble the lens
to leave it all dry?
