The first image might be real or it could be a good low angle image of
a normal surf edge rolling onto a beach. It is also from a different
and probably distant point from the rest of the sequence. Given the
speed of the event, its not likely the same photographer.
In the second, everyone is just standing watching the huge breaking
wave in front of them. I just find that so implausible.
If you look at the expressions of the people in the last image
carefully, they do not look frightened, but rather excited. I wonder if
they are real images or clever composites?
I also wondered about the person on the van. If the image were real, I
would find it hard to believe that the individual would not realize his
own imminent danger.
To me it looks like a sequence of images of some kind of public event
with the wave added after.
The only one that does not seem to be mixed is the one with wave and
the umbrellas.
..then again the magnitude of such an horrific event may really have
caught people off guard like that. Its just the people all look so much
more composed than in the news footage that has been seen to date on
any of the news networks.
