I have only 2 other AF cameras, a Canon G5 and a Contax G2. The E-1 is
faster than either of them.
One slight snag with the E-1 is the CF-SF-MF switch on the bottom left
of the camera's edge. I have recently found that I have accidentally
shifted this switch. It does not really matter in normal light and
sound conditions (if you can see the focus and hear the AF working),
but in low light and high noise you might not spot the problem. I took
a quick photo of a window washer chap in a London street and I was on
MF by mistake. The depth of field took care of the focus for me, but I
shall be more careful from now on.
By the way, the switch is a good one, sturdy and nice to operate.
