I picked up the 7D and liked the handling a lot, but the lack of a top-deck LCD
to quickly see settings completely turned me off. I guess is just my quirk,
but I just couldn't get over K-M's philosophy of using the back LCD for
everything. I also didn't like the focusing motor in the camera or that the
focusing ring on the lens turned under my hand.
Thinking about the D20, D70, and *istD, I continue to hate the one methodology
that almost all the makers use, which is put many controls on a left-hand dial
like mode, WB, ISO, etc. I used a couple of cameras that had these controls
after I had my E-1 and they drove me crazy. I've gotten so used to the
intuitive ISO button on the E-1 that I can't go to something else. (It's
obviously a personal problem of mine.)
