According to my Concise Oxford Dictionary, 9th Edition, "gobbledegook 
gobbledygook"  means:  

"pompus or unintelligible jargon [probably imitative of turkeycock]" 
 
and "turkeycock" means

1 a male turkey, or 2. a pompus or self important person.
