A CLA is usually a good idea every 25 years or so ;-)
None of my shutter curtains have deteriorated and I have 2 OM-1s that date back
to about '77. With regular attention by John or Clint they should last as long
as the comonly consumed parts hold out. No telling what that will be, but
there are donor cameras.

I have an OM-1n that I picked up a few years ago. I am just now starting to
use it seriously and have a couple of questions about keeping it alive.
Pictures taken with the camera look OK so I am trying to do preventative
maintenance at this point.
I have mushy light seals and have found info in the archive about removing
and replacing these as well as the mirror foam.
I have inspected the shutter and do not see any pinholes. Does the shutter
deteriorate mostly due to use or will it deteriorate over time no matter
what? Is there any thing that can be done to maximize the shutter's life?
Is it worth sending the camera out for a general overhaul? If so what would
this include?
Would anyone care to take a guess as to the life expectancy of a 25yr old
OM-1n that will be used but not abused?
