I guess I will have to retake the photo because there is no missing
paint on the lens. You make a good point. When you are selling
pristine expensive goods make sure the photography is as good as
possible.
I have owned the lens for 10 years and it has never been dropped.

I saw your lens. If this is the one I am thinking of, I thought that
the one picture, of the lens on its side, showed some missing paint in
a spot on the focus and aperature ring. The rest of the lens looks
great. If the missing paint isn't there, then you might want to
re-take that one photo. To me, it often suggests that the lens may
have been dropped.
KEH has one described as excellent priced at $750. Excellent in their
parlance doesn't mean pristine out-of-the-box perfect, so even if
yours has some missing paint, it could still fit their definition of
excellent.
A bit too rich for my blood unfortunately. I am looking for a long FL
macro, but am leaning toward the 135 lens at about half the price.
