Hi Dick. Currently 98SE, which I find pretty good, except for (apparently,
I don't understand it well enough to be sure)its memory management. Things
that really ought to work pretty well on this machine, with this much
memory, are a bit flaky. Acually it's pretty stable, except when I
ventured into the world of digital music files and DVD, just for a laugh.
Some laugh.
I'm expressly thinking of XP for memory management, and I have read that
Pro is better in this respect than Home. I subscribe to the UK mag
Personal Computer World and am completely self-taught since my first
encounter with computers way back in the mists of Hewlett Packards with
tape drives...
