I'm WAY behind in this list...
Of course it will survive. While the shift to digital is late for EK, and I
absolutely HATE to think of the shrinkage of film manufacturing, Kodak is
making the
moves it deems necessary to remain a leader in the IMAGING market. There's
lots more to Kodak than the consumer/prosumer/professional camera division.
For example, I have two friends who work in a Kodak division that does a lot of
government work -- aerospace imaging, etc. Medical imaging is big and seems to
be doing OK, though I don't know the numbers. If their 5MP point & shoot with
the Schneider 10x optical zoon had a raw mode, I'd get one as I can get them
for a good price at the Kodak store in town.
