I own two OM-2S cameras. Several years ago (early 90s) my concern about
battery drain made me think there was a problem with the camera. I took
the camera to an Olympus service center and had it "repaired". After
the expense of replacing the electronics in the camera, there was no
change concerning battery drain. I have always gotten several months
out of the batteries, but was spoiled by my old 2N that did not seem to
drain batteries.
