The T-10 image probably looks sharper because the lens was stopped down more
in that shot. The flashes need to be used in manual mode on the E-1 so there's
not much choice in power levels, only full and half power. The T-10 is so
much more powerful that even on half power I needed to stop the lens down
more. Too bad the E-1 doesn't do OTF metering :-(
There's something really odd going on with polarised light and the E-1. I
get the same odd looking photos when using the macro mirror housings and the
PM-10AD photomicro setup. Both use half mirrors in the light path. I suspect
the half mirrors are polarising the light and that has an effect on E-1's
image. I need to find some time to do some more experimenting.
