I've always done it converter to lens, combo to body too.

I fairly frequently use the 1.4X-A and 2X-A, and I don't think I have ever,
not even one time, attached the teleconverter to the body first. I suppose
that comes from not reading the instructions, but I've never had a problem,
so it must not really matter. Even if I now should know better and have no
excuse for doing it bass ackwards, I'll keep doing it that way.
