Thanks for that.
1/2 hr after 12 hours charge I have voltages of 5.4, 5.4, 5.4, 2.0 and 2.7 from
the 5 "sets" of cells.
I have the pack apart; it had already been taken apart and the batteries
replaced so it was an easy job. The batteries are festering badly.
New tabbed NiCads are £1.90 @ from Maplin. That's £38 plus VAT for a set of 20.
The soldering job looks tedious but uncomplicated.
I'm in two minds as to what to do since:
1. I don't *know* that the charger works properly, but it seems likely, and
2. The rest of the unit is in very poor condition with repairs, and
3. I paid very little for the whole lot -- less than half the cost of the
replacement batteries -- and I have an aversion to spending more on something
than it's worth. My main reason for getting it was to see how I got on with the
T45 and whether I wanted to buy a nice one, but since I can't even get it to
flash I'm no further forward on that front.
What do folk think?
Simon
