You can do that with the Kindai adapter if you remove the little screw
that operates the aperture stop-down lever. I don't know if you can do
so with the adapter Oly provides. I believe those with the Kindais have
mostly ended up using it in stop-down, rather than DOF buton mode. I
think one reason is metering. You have to press and hold the DOF button
to see what the exposure will be, so manual exposure, spot metering on
the 4 series any iso offset for auto exposure all become very physically
awkward or impossible. If the adapter had a little lever to switch
instantly between the 2 modes it would be quite practical. But it is not
an easy switch in the field - and if you lose the little screw,
oooooohhh.............
