I believe the part you are referring to was also sold separately as the

The lever is the lens release tab. I can understand why you want the third
screw but can't really see why it would be necessary. John's comments about
the threads being stripped hopefully won't apply since there isn't much room
for any more screw length. The hole could probably be re-threaded for a
slightly larger screw diameter but epoxy on the screw threads might be an
adequate solution since you would normally never take it apart. You might
want to try one of the existing screws in the hole to see if the threads are
stripped.
