No reason you can't use your tubes with a lens to give yourself a closer
focusing distance. Hmmm, seems like a tube attached to a 300 or 400mm lens
might
work well for taking photographs of rattlesnakes and alligators. Seriously,
it is just going to let you focus closer. While you are at it, try this
combination: Camera body, 2X extender, tube & lens. Now try it with this
combination: camera body, tube, 2X extender & lens. Was there any difference?
Tubes
are great and don't be afraid to try different combinations. Bill Barber
