Yes, as is any thyristor - controlled flash. The only difference with the OM
system is the ability to get the quench signal from the camera, rather than
from an internal cell. Of course the T series guns have one of those as
well..
There is a lower limit to the guide number set by the total system minimum
reaction time.

No prediction of any kind - purely reaction. It works as a by-product of the
normal OTF metering. Thyristors quench pretty fast!
