I think you are correct with regard the flash duration being controlled by
the 3Ti via TTL meter. But I do not think you can get a suitable full frame
image with flash and shutter speeds over 1/60 because the second shutter
curtain starts to cross the film before the first curtain is fully across.
This is a basic problem with all focal plane shutter designs, some with
higher sync speeds use faster moving curtains and move the short way (across
the 24mm dimension of the frame) but the only way to use faster shutter
speeds with flash is to use the F280 flash.
