I think things are packed pretty tight in there... I'd recommend the expert
approach. I have one MD-2 with a toasted transistor somewhere... I was
trying to 'time' the switch on one of my M15v packs and somehow turned it
the wrong way, which shorted something and with a little puff of smoke in
about 0.2 seconds I had a dead MD-2... needs to be fixed somedayt, but I
won't mess with it myself. I read somewhere there is a convoluted
flexi-circuit in there that is easy to rip when opening it up... not sure
about the MD-1 but on a lot of this stuff, if you don't already know your
way around the inside you're likely to do damage before you can gauge the
'lay of the land.'
