Two gay guys talking. The first says, "My mother made me a homosexual."
The second asks excitedly, "If I get her the stuff, could she make me one?"
I've got a pair of dead T45 Ni-Cd packs. If I get you the stuff, will you make
'em work for me?
Seriously, though, there's a company that advertises in "Shutterbug" that they
are a battery rebuilding service, "movie, strobe, belt, Ni-Cad, silver, lead
acid, alkaline, lithium, gel cell." They've been advertising for at least two
years, so they must be staying in business by doing things right. Since
they're only about an hour's drive, and a pleasnt one at that, north of me
(Ellijay, Ga.), I'm considering hauling the two useless things up there to see
what they can do. If the news is worth passing on, I'll let everyone know.
In the meantime, the Quantum pack is doing quite nicely. In fact, except for
the cord that I get tangled up in occasionally, I think it's preferable to the
in-handle battery. For one thing, the extra weight gets transferred to the
belt, making prolonged use less tiring.
Please, no flames for the gay joke. It was told to me by a very gay friend.
