I have read all the responses you quoted, and "it's highly probably that the
film will get ripped at the sprockets" is your own supposition, and not
either suggested by any of the responses you had, or supported my experience
with four different MDs - 1 early version MD1, two late version MD1 and one
MD2, all of which correctly sensed the end-of-film and reacted appropriately
(as they were designed to do).
There may be a deficiency in your reactions (as in mine) but there _is_ a
fault with your MD1.

The first response suggests that, unless you have very good reactions, when
shooting on sequence, it's highly probably that the film will get ripped at
the sprockets.
The second response doesn't deny this, but tends to suggest (to me at least)
that this is not the case.
