Hi Jeff:
Having become pretty familiar with the system and pricing, I would
definately state that the seller makes out very well, the Haukeboe site and
Skip's site verify that bargains are few and the average prices are pretty
good returns to the vendor. My bottom line thinking as a purchaser is that I
can find what I want in an expeditious way but this is not going to be a
bargain. On the whole I have paid market price, the occasional 'bargain'
being offset by the occasional 'seller misrepresentation' (polite). It has
allowed me the luxury of amassing a solid and comprehensive system in fairly
little time. Is it worth it? Yes, but it could be improved. But like
realtors all work for the seller, the dynamics of evilbay are set the same,
give the seller every advantage for without them the evil stops, customers
are expendable as a very limited source of revenue. As long as you remember
the basic equation, you will do fine, OK average.
