I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that I'm testing out some new
paper/developer combinations due to the problems with Ilford.
Well, I think I've found something that should hold me over for
a while. This new paper/developer combination allows me to
convert 100% to fiber paper.
Full darkroom calibration will take me a few days. An example of
how different it is than what I was using, is that I can go a
full grade softer than I used with the Multigrade IV. Initial
results are fantastic and I'm seeing some improvements to the
Zone II-IV problem with Delta 100.
I've been shooting Ilford PanF+ extensively lately, but rumour
has it that PanF+ is getting the axe so I'll probably have to go
back to Delta 100 for my slow speed stuff. It looks as though
HP5+ and the Deltas are survivors for right now.
