I just purchased a 28mm 3.5 off that evil place. For $40US, I received the
lens in at least Excellent+ condition, the hood in Excellent/Excellent +
condition, the case in Excellent condition (the name plate was somewhat unstuck
from the top of the case but is easily re-glued) and am very happy. I don't
know if this constitutes a good deal or not; I'm sure it's not a Fang. But
knowing that it's a lens that is beloved by many, I figured it was a good deal
for me.
I didn't really NEED this lens. She who must be obeyed frowned a bit as she
had thought I had completed the eB*y 12-step program. I explained that the
lens may end up as a Christmas present for my daughter, to whom I recently gave
a nice OM-2 (thanks John for an excellent CLA!) and 50 f1.8 MC for her
birthday. I'll play with the 28 for awhile and probably pass it on to her.
