I saw one in one of my bodies a few days ago when changing lenses. I
left the body open for a bit and suggested that it would be happier in
the long run (and have a longer long run) if it came out, but it
resisted my siren song, so I suppose it is still in there somewhere.
As to eating film, I have no idea, but it can't be as destructive as our
cat is to gelatin prints. Every once in a while I forget and leave
prints face up somewhere in the house. She licks them and makes a real
mess.
Now that I've moved on to cats....... Sorry to hear about Poof, Richard.
I hope she shows up again.
