Try the 50-250 Fernando, if you can find one. CH Ling did some tests
which found the bokeh to be unattractive, but I really like mine.
I have just scanned some photos of sunflowers which I took in July.
One of these shots is taken with a 21/3.5 (the EXIF should show it).

I have carried out only retouching for dust and blemishes, no
sharpening but for the resampling method (Bicubic Sharper).
