Yes, I believe so. It seems the lens must be moved to the full 200mm
position before it is possible to rotate the focus mechanism into the
close-focus range. Once in close-focus range the zoom is disabled.
I have rotated the barrel back into the normal position and the zoom
does work properly. It just will not come into focus. The closest I
can get it to being in focus is by setting it to 65mm and rotating the
focus ring to infinity.
I am guessing that something is wrong internally in the lens. A pity
really since the lens is in very good shape otherwise.
