For free and better ZIP compression, you may want to consider using 7-zip
as the primary ZIPper program. It compresses better than the others at the
cost of more time and/or memory. For ZIP file management afterwards, WinZIP
is more convenient.
7-zip is free, open source GNU software. Runs on Linux, too.
