Good point. When shooting slide film, I don't worry about
post-processing the image. My ENTIRE concern is to get it right
when I'm taking the picture.
With B&W, 95% of the work is in post-processing. I frequently
feel like a darkroom technician rather than a photographer. The
saving grace here is that the darkroom part is 95% of the "art".
You can't be a painter unless you clean your brushes.
With Digital, it's not quite as bad as darkroom work, but the
attitude of "fixing it in post" is an aweful disease. I don't
know how to resolve this dilemma yet.
