See Dorothee's message for the adapter via Olympus routes.
Otherwise, you can E-1 adapters for Nikon, Pentax, Contax/Yashica, and M42 from
Stephen Gandy in California cameraquest.com or from Kendai in Japan.
Surfing? You'll need at least 600mm, IME to get anything decent (that means
300mm on an E-1). (My experience was with surfers about 150-200m from the
tide line.) Try a Zuiko 300/4.5 first, which is relatively inexpensive.
Longer? A Tamron SP or Zuiko 500/8 will also work, and gives you a 1000mm
equiv. lens. I've seen some very nice shots done with the mirror lenses on an
E-1. If the subjects are closer, the 135/2.8 produces nice results on the E-1
in a very compact size.
