Sorry if I'm being redundant, I didn't follow the whole thread: not
being used at all to Autofocus, I turned it off on the E-1 when I first
tried to do some Macro work (ie with the 14-54 at close distance).
But after a while I found the two possibilities to combine AF and MF
pretty clever: either set the S-AF to auto plus manual, so the AF will
act when the shutter is half pressed but allows for manual tweaking
before fully pressing it. Sometimes it's way quicker then to fully turn
manually. The other thing I forgot about and re-found out yesterday, you
can set the AEL button to AF in M-AF mode. So if you are in MF mode but
have to change distance quickly - press AEL once and voila, you are
already much closer to the subject.
Have you used these possibilities? Do you think them practical?
cheers
