I get no water spots if I use purified water (the output from our
dehumidifiers) and wetting agent (possibly the same as PhotoFlo)
specifically for washing negs. I would not use washing-up detergent
since ours (Fairy Liquid) has additives which might leave a residue.
I have been using Rodinal lately (1+25 though) and I wonder if it gives
you a little more grain. I am about to develop a couple of rolls of
FP4, so I shall tell you how it goes.
