Sound like a normal non-invasive search the like of which is performed
hundreds of times a day at any US airport. I have seen seasoned business
travellers arrive at security with their coat over their arm and their shoes
already removed for separate X-ray, thus ensure that they get through first
time. Its still a pain for these procedures to exist but what can you do?
Refuse the search and you won't be allowed into the departure area let alone
the plane.
I personally dislike it as much as the next person but I don't think this
ex-minister has been made to suffer by this procedure. Heck if they all had
to endure it and found out how much of a pain it was perhaps that would get
something changed ;) (notice I am winking before you flame me).
Lets go back to photography huh?
