I was away over the weekend on a little excursion that included a moderate
amount of photography. Upon my return, I find that yet another discussion of
tripods for low-down macro use broke out during my absence and without my most
necessary input.
I say again, as I have said before, for more than 20 years I have used a
Cullmann tripod designed for just such a purpose for most of my
close-to-the-ground macro work. But this time, rather than waste words saying
why I choose Cullmann, I'm posting a couple of photographs. After all, this is
a photo list, isn't it? And aren't they supposed to be worth more than some
hypothetical number of words?
After looking at these pictures, if you feel you have a rig that will let you
get even more low down than me, and without digging a hole, let's see it. It's
time to put the money where the mouth is.
