I did some research a while ago when Walt talked about the possibility
of using those adaptall lenses many of us have on a Fuji DSLR body. What
I found is that Nik*n long ago dropped support for their old MF lenses
on the lower end bodies. This was already the case with film SLRs long
before digital. They have always made bodies that will take the old
lenses, but they are the expensive ones. Since the Fuji and low end
Nik*n DSLRs are all derived from consumer film bodies, they won't take
the MF lenses. None of this is based on personal experience, but on
posts on Nik*n forums and spec sheets.
