I really felt that guy's pain! :>) Maybe that's why I screwed up the
message and links so badly!! I actually did have a lens do something
similiar, but it wasn't a Zuiko and since it didn't have the fancy
stabilization electronics, I was able to quickly 'fix' it with a pocket
knife and resume shooting.

And the answer to your question in the Subject is "Yes" to judge from one of
the messages in that thread on photo.net (report of a Zuiko 200/4 with the
same problem, although it was caught before a tragedy took place).
