Last week I scored a really, really nice non-IS C*n*n 300/2.8 (for my
motorsports work) at Pro Camera in The City; on my way home, as I was
driving past the Berkeley Aquatic Park, I saw some egrets sitting out
during the evening....as I had all my gear with me, I popped the 2X
on the 300 and shot these with the new lens. As I stupidly left my
monopod at home that day, I had to shoot these handheld at 600 mm.
I know there are C*n*n lurkers/OM listmembers out there on the list
[I know, 'cause you guys all write to me! :-)], so I thought at least
those listmembers might enjoy seeing the 300 at work....

I will have more shots with the 300 taken of the Wine Country Classic
vintage race up later in the week.
OM content-I will have some pit shots taken with the E-1 uploaded
soon also...they look really nice, too.... quite a nice camera with
excellent image quality despite it's eccentricities (the camera
completely froze in a "BUSY" mode on me); and for you wide-angle
enthusiasts, the shots were with the new Zuiko 11-22.
Cheers,
Darth Vader.
