OM-1 + Shoe 1, no TTL - correct. Remote sensor optional - you can use the
flashgun's own sensor.
OM-2 + Shoe 2, full TTL, correct. Auto cord necessary for TTL with the
Bounce Grip 1, also correct.
Shoe 4 is designed for T-series flashguns. Shoe 1 is for the QA310 - but
Shoe 1 won't fit the OM-1n. I guess that Shoe 4 is your only option,
although you will not be using the additional contacts on Shoe 4. TTL Auto
is not possible on any OM-1 or OM-1n with any flashgun. Nor is it possible
with the QA310 on an OM-2n, as far as I can see (because there is no
suitable shoe).
No flash auto-check light? Sounds like you might have got yourself a
problem there - I would take it up with the store you bought it from - ask
for a repair or refund. ;-)

Subject: [OM] QA310 Flash Compatibility Questions
Hi all,
I've recently acquired a QA310 flash, TTL auto cord and the bounce grip and
want to be sure I understand the various possibilities with the bodies I
own. I've never really used flash that much but want to venture into
something different. Feel free to correct my assumptions or make
suggestions.
With the OM-1 I will need to acquire a Shoe 1. To use the bounce grip I
will need to acquire the remote sensor so as to allow me to use ordinary
auto flash in either f 4, 5.6, 8 or manual mode. TTL auto is not possible.
With the OM-1N and shoe 4 can I successfully use the QA310 on the shoe or,
with remote sensor, on the bounce grip for ordinary auto flash in either f
4, 5.6, 8 or manual mode? As I see it, TTL auto is not possible with the
QA310. Anyone have experience with this setup?
With the OM-2, shoe 2, QA310, auto cord and bounce grip I think I'm set for
all options: TTL flash, ordinary auto flash at the three f stops or manual.
Also, I've noticed that the auto check light doesn't flicker after firing.
Is this very critical or can I get by OK by insuring I stay with the
recommended settings? Can the light be easily fixed to flicker?
Thanks,
Gary
