Dear John,
The Nikkor is an old 50mm H.C. f/2 model made in the 50's. That's why the M4
was so cheap.
If I read the tests right, the final LPM(line per mill.) numbers were~~
Nikkor -
center; 60 3/4 out; 55 edge; 45
Old Oly 1.8-
center; 37 3/4 out; 45 edge; 55
"MIJ" oly 1.8-
center; 60 3/4 out; 70 edge; 55
This was with the mirror locked up , camera on a study tripod, and using 100
speed film. I read the charts twice
with a B&L 40x loupe.
