Hi,
I am new to the list. I have been an OM user for many years, and
recently decided to get a
used Olympus PEN FT, to use with my scanner at home.
I have tried two cameras that were in very good shape mechanically and
cosmetically. However,
for both cameras the light-meter is off. It typically works in bright
light (for instance: 100 ASA
1/125,f8) and compares well with manual exposure measurement or my OM1
and OM2. For lower light,
for example 1/30, f1.4 it seems way off (at least 2 stops). I am using
Wein 1.35 batteries.
After trying the second camera and having similar problems, I was
wondering if I did something
wrong or if this was a typical problem for the PEN FT.
I would appreciate any thoughts of the group on this. Or is there
experience in calibrating
an FT light meter ? Thanks,
Roland Ruehl.
