Combining experiences from Olympus and N*k$n, it is / was common to use the
following (as recommended by the Japanese parent companies) for cleaning
lens elements: denatured alcohol, methanol, benzene, acetone, inhibisol,
freon,.and a potentially explosive mixture of alcohol and ether.
