Maybe you remember the fox pictures I posted last spring. Anyway I ran
into Mama Fox and her new brood last week and there are nine new
brothers and sisters this spring. Unfortunately I didn't have the 300
with me and so these two shots are more for subject interest rather than
technical merit. They are cropped to about 60% of full frame. I have
been trying portra 400nc and so far it just doesn't work for PacNW
lighting. I like the superia 400 way better. I've been packin the big
glass now in hopes of another encounter. The little guys are still
fearless and let me get within 20-30 feet but that won't last long when
natural selection kicks in. These were taken hand held sitting down,
elbows braced at about 200mm, OM4t.
