[OM] Lose zoom/focus ring on Zuiko one-touch zooms

I looked at a couple of 65-200mm f4 Zuiko zooms.

They both were immaculate in condition, but had rather lose zoom movements.
The one touch ring slid really losely back and forth. is that a known
condition with some Zuiko one touch zooms?  I think I heard that that occurs
frequently. What is the cause and what can be done to fix it??
