You need to keep the 7mm for those wide-angle close-ups. My favourite is for
flowers against a nicely de-focused background - something like this:

To be honest an even thinner one would be handy but I don't think they're
available. Mine is a manual one - having to frame at the taking aperture isn't
such an issue with wideangles.
Also if you've got a long telephoto the deepest (mine is a 36mm 'super
paragon') is also handy as the close focus is usually limited. I haven't tried
using the 65-116 for this as my guess is it'll be too unwieldy.
