What else do I need to do to push you over the edge? :-)

I've just borrowed a 200/4 to try this weekend, but for the long lenses, I have
a feeling that the as-yet-unowned, well-respected 50-200/2.8-3.5 (100-400mm
equiv) will be my preferred long lens, with the 135/2.8 carried as a long-lens
alternative for travel (270mm equiv)

It's so nice to have the 90/2 Macro working. It's got a long, long working
distance. I wish that I'd kept the 135/4.5 + Auto-Tube and the 50/2 now.
OTOH, I wouldn't want to use many of the Zuiko zooms on the E-1, as they'd get
too slow. I'd expect that the use of wide angle lenses is pretty limited, but
I havent' tried those yet due to time constraints.

But all kidding aside, the E-1 is a very, very well thought-out camera system
that has a lot of things going for it. Nikon: I think it blows away the D70 or
D100 in usability and ergonomics, whereas the image quality is comparable. I
had no reason to consider the Pentax *istD. Canon: I heard too many issues
with the 10D regarding focusing and I really didn't like the Digital Rebel's
feel.

FYI, We had a little show-and-tell at our local digital photography group this
week by a local, pro-oriented shop. They bought: Fuji S2, 10D, D100, Digital
Rebel. D70, and an E-1. It was very interesting that both the proprieters
liked the E-1 the best for many reasons.
