Well up to the standards we have come to expect Graham, and an excellent,
unusual viewpoint for a church which is packed full of history in a way that
most English churches are not. It's hard to see (through that tree) but the
nave has been crudely chopped off. What is left of Fotheringhay church is
barely half of what was once a magnificent medieval building - a seat royal
of power. Today there are maybe twenty houses in the village there.
Recommended to see (and, Chris, probably especially interesting from the air
where I guess you would see ground marks to reveal what was once there
around the church, and the castle).
